Cheryl Fullerton's Graduation Fund
My mission is to raise enough money to take my wife to her college graduation in August of this year.Cheryl has been my wife, my friend, and my greatest supporter for 25 years. Together, we have 5 children between the ages of 16-22, and a 5 year old grandchild. All of the children live at home with us, due to the economy, lack of work, and because we love them and want them to always have a home.
Cheryl has worked hard to earn a 3.85 GPA and will graduate in August with a degree in Human Services. She quit school when she was 17, later earning her GED. As she got older, as did our kids, she dreamed of an education, but was afraid she couldn't do it. Cheryl wanted our children to proud of her, and to prove anyone, with enough courage, could go to college. She has been an inspiration to me, our kids, and her friends. 3 of our 5 kids are now attending college, the other 2 are still in high school. Cheryl's dream after graduation is to work with social services helping poor families with children to better their lives. Our problem is Cheryl doesn't have the money to attend her own graduation. Since she attends Columbia College on line, her graduation will be at the Jacksonville, Fla. campus, and we live in Virginia. In order for Cheryl to attend the ceremony, money must be raised to pay expenses for travel, hotel, and food. |
